In the face of ignorance and resistance

It was written into existence

When our pleas were met with indifference

We finally received our deliverance

The children screamed in persistence

To see the so called changes that all knew were non-existent

They covered our brilliance

And mocked our intelligence

In spite of our difference-s

God gave us assistance

In their wretchedness

We are relentless
